AWS Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the development and implementation of scalable web-based and mobile applications on AWS Cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building both workflow solutions and data-driven analytical applications

• Support modernization of applications to AWS cloud-native environments, focusing on microservices and API-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain a cloud technology roadmap aligned with business strategies and app operations.
• Design and implement solution architectures for projects, ensuring alignment with overall system design and security requirements.
• Work closely with security teams to implement secure solutions, manage AWS accounts, and integrate IAM, Managed AD, ID Centre, and Landing Zones within multi-tenant platforms.
• Ensure strong AWS networking and security controls, using AWS Security Services and third-party tools.
• Provide end-to-end infrastructure solutions for clients, including configuration and Server Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Deploy and manage scalable, highly available systems on AWS using Elastic Load Balancers, VPCs, and HTTPS certificates.
• Automate the deployment of services such as EKS, utilizing CloudFormation templates for infrastructure as code.
• Collaborate with data architects to understand business processes and functional requirements for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) within AWS.
• Recommend and implement technical solutions for efficient application migration to AWS.
• 1+ year of experience as a Solution Architect, preferably with AWS.
• Implement business strategies that drive cloud adoption.
• Work in Agile environments, utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence, while adhering to established software development life cycle methodologies.

• Extensive AWS & Cloud experience, ideally within secure Government environments
• Experience producing End to End High level and low-level architecture designs with proven ability to work.
• closely and effectively with DevOps and support / SRE teams.
• Experience taking designs through internal governance forums and socializing the designs with key stakeholders

• Amazon VPC, Auto Scaling, AWS Services: EC2, RDS, EBS, S3, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Docker, ECR, EC2, EKS, Elastic Beanstalk, ELB, IAM, Kubernetes, Route53, S3, SNS, Security, VPC.
